Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music in the early years alongside her mother. She was given more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. When she moved into California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations, both as a teacher and performer because of her passion of music and art. Ana is also a past part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
